The Helping Hands are members who provide caring in practical forms, such as rides to worship services or medical appointments, meals for those who temporarily cannot cook for themselves, or cards to lift one’s spirits or celebrate a rite of passage.
Other aspects of our Helping Hands program include:
- Dedicated fabric artists design and create “UUSM Love Wraps” to enfold church folks in the warm embrace of our community
- Allows hospital patients to receive a visit from members sharing the healing power of music
- Provides a specialized “meal ministry” for members bringing home new babies. Contact Cordelia Leoncio (650-595-1598).
For when you are ill or recovering. Contact the Coordinator, Pam Sachs (650-341-2323).
For rides to Sunday service, doctor’s appointments, etc. Contact the coordinator, Pat Nicholson (650-302-1253).
