Religious Exploration for Families
Our Religious Exploration programming for youth, kids and families is online this year, due to Covid-19. We are glad to be using the Soul Matters’ curricula, which is created for these times of sheltering-in-place. This makes it to be more fun for the kids, while encouraging them to develop their spiritual practice, reflect on important values such as everyone is deserving of universal love, and take action for our faith is lived through our deeds.

We have rich and engaging Religious Exploration programs at UUSM for children, youth, and adults. Our learning programs nurture the foundations of a meaningful, relevant, and vibrant faith.
We value our children and youth. Our programs give them the opportunity to question and learn, worship, engage in service projects to benefit our community, and participate in activities that promote connection with peers and adults.
We understand that religious education begins with the family, and strive to support parents and assist children and youth in their personal search for truth and meaning. We honor each individual’s need for and right to quest throughout life for truth while emphasizing the importance of relationship, inter-dependence, and connection to our human community and the earth.
All adults – parents and non-parents alike – are encouraged to participate in our Adult Religious Exploration programs. These programs provide opportunities to learn more about Unitarian Universalism, spiritual practice, and personal theology, and engage with other adults to explore a variety of other topics, such as current events and world religions.
