Covid Task Force Update 5/12/22
Updated: Jun 24, 2022
For the last several months, we have been relying on data gathered at the website covidactnow.org. We used the metrics they provided to evaluate whether we should have in-person services or not. They changed their reporting recently to reflect the lower rates of serious illness and hospitalizations.
Our team has discussed the new parameters at length, and have agreed on metrics we will use going forward. Cases have crept up of late, but hospitalizations have not. Vaccines are working. We strongly encourage those age 50+ to get the 2nd vaccine booster.
We will continue to monitor public health data. Our recommendation for now is to continue with in-person services with masks. Not all masks are equal. We strongly encourage everyone to wear well fitting KF94, KN95 or N95 masks that cover your nose and mouth at all times.
We are committed to providing a zoom option for those who feel safer or for whatever reason choose to join us remotely.
If you would like more details on UUSM's Covid Guidelines please see our our May 5th posting https://www.uusanmateo.org/post/covid-task-force-update-5-5-22 on the UUSM website. Our team meets the first Thursday of each month at 6:00pm. Contact mft@uusanmateo.org
